This marks a change in ownership from Diversity Wireless stores to Cell Shop Inc., an established authorized retailer in the AT&T space. All salespersons, store managers, and district managers will retain their current positions, and your pay rates will remain unaffected. Our goal is to ensure a seamless transition for both you and the entire DWP team. While your work routine continues as usual, you will now operate under the benefits, guidance, and processes of Cell Shop, starting from September 1, 2023.
Sales staff members will seamlessly transition and become part of the Cell Shop team as of September 1, 2023. Cell Shop’s HR department will be reaching out to all Sales Field Employees via email and telephone to begin your transition process. At that time we can address any aspects that might not have been covered in the FAQ section and complete onboarding. Please take a look at the Transition Timeline for the schedule.
The official acquisition date is set for September 1, 2023. Refer to the transition timeline for important dates and events that will help you prepare for the transition.
We will make every effort to accommodate your scheduling preferences. However, considering the operational needs of the business, we might need to reassess store hours and work schedules at a later date. Store hours are subject to change based on customer requirements.
Agustin Alvarado serves as the Vice President of Sales at Cell Shop. Your current store managers and district managers will continue their roles.
Your medical, dental, and vision coverage will transition to Cell Shop's benefits. We have reviewed your current coverages and we provide more coverage at a lower cost. Additionally, existing DWP employees without benefits will have the opportunity to enroll in extra benefits offered by Cell Shop during the upcoming open enrollment period.
Cell Shop follows a bi-weekly pay schedule. You are paid every 2 weeks and commissions are paid within 60 days of the end of the month. For instance, your first 2 pay days from Cell Shop will be on September 15th and 29th. Your first commission check for sales in September will be November 24th.
We intend to honor all pre-approved vacation requests, though they will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
For California residents, your vacation accruals will be paid out by DWP as required by law. Note: Vacation Blackout dates may apply.
Please consult DWP leadership for inquiries regarding any compensation earned before September 1 during your time there. DWP has a plan to pay May and June commissions on August 31, July commission on September 8, and August commission on October 6.
Performance expectations will be communicated to all transitioning employees as we transition. We have an internal system called BOOM that we will utilize for performance documentation. Any pending promotions will also be considered.
Our top priority is the growth of the company, focused on the development of each employee.
IMO discounts will be transferred after September 1. Each team member will need to update their new location dealer code in the IMO portal.
